Abstract: | The study aimed to identify the level of psychological stress and its relationship to national values among the people of the city of Jerusalem who live in mixed neighborhoods, and the differences in each of them according to the variables: sex, economic level, place of residence, using the descriptive-relational approach, and applying the two scales: psychological stress and national values, on Available sample, the size of which was (375) individuals. The results showed that the level of psychological stress and its domains was high with a relative weight of (74.2%), and the domain of “economic stress” came with the highest with a relative weight of (74.6%), while the domain of “work stress” came with the lowest with a relative weight of (73.8%). The reality of national values was also high, with a relative weight of (68.6%). The results indicated that there is a statistically significant correlation at the level (.05 ≥ α) between psychological stress and national values; The correlation coefficient was (.383), as the relationship was positive between psychological stress and national values. The results showed that there are differences in psychological stress and its fields due to the gender variable. The differences were in favor of a female, while the differences were insufficient to indicate psychological stress and its fields according to a variable difference: the place of residence, It also showed that there are differences in psychological and work pressures according to a variable: the economic level, and the differences were in favor of low. The results showed that there were no differences in national values according to the variables of the taxonomic study (gender, economic level, place of residence). |
