Abstract: The study aims to identify the level of psychological stress caused by Covid-19 pandemic and about the psychological hardiness of officers working within the Preventive Security service in Ramallah and Al-Birah Governorate. Moreover, this study aims to find out the relation between the psychological stresses and the psychological hardiness and to know whether there are statistical differences in the psychological stress and hardiness according to the variables of: (age, education, years of experiences, and ranks). The study used the descriptive correlative approach, where it applied the measures of psychological stress and psychological hardiness over a simple random sampling which included (230) officers within the Preventive Security service in the academic year of 2021/2022. The results showed that the average of the estimations of the sample about the psychological stress was moderate with 2.77 average on all dimensions. Additionally, the economic pressures came on the first place with moderate degree, while the career pressures came in the last place with a moderate degree. On the other hand, the average of the estimations of the sample regarding the psychological hardiness was high with 3.77, where the field of “commitment” came at the first place with a high degree, while the filed of “control” came in the last place with moderate degree. Moreover, the study showed that there are no statistical differences on the overall degree of the psychological stress, where its fields attributed to (age, education, years of experience and ranks), except for the field of economic pressures according to the educational qualification variable, where it was found that there are differences in favor of (Below Bachelor ) additionally, the study showed that there are no statistical differences on the overall degree of the psychological hardiness, where its fields attributed to (age, education, years of experience and ranks. Finally, the study showed that there is no statistical correlative relation between the psychological stresses and the psychological hardiness.
