Abstract: This study aimed at identifying the level of psychological stress and hardiness and the relation between them among high school graders in Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The author used the descriptive correlative approach and applied the two study scales to a sample comprising 314 male and female secondary school teachers for the academic year 2020/2021. The results showed that the level of psychological stress among teachers was moderate, while the level of psychological hardiness was high. The results showed no differences in psychological stress among teachers due to the gender variable in the cognitive, social, and psychological fields. On the other hand, there were differences in the physiological and functional fields, and the differences were in favor of males. The results showed no differences in psychological stress among teachers due to the variables of academic qualification and specialization. However, there were differences in psychological stress among teachers due to the variable years of experience in all fields. The results also showed no differences in psychological hardiness among teachers due to gender, educational qualification, specialization, and years of experience variables. In addition, there is no correlation between psychological stress and psychological hardiness among secondary school teachers in Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
