Abstract:
This study aimed to know the impact of the applying of Occupational Safety Requirements as a Component of Career's Life Quality and its Impact on the Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction in Palestinian Pharmaceutical Companies in Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, knowing the level of workers’ organizational commitment and job satisfaction in pharmaceutical companies, the study also adopted the descriptive analytical approach. The study population consisted of all workers who varied between administrators, technicians and production workers, and their number reached (1000) male and female workers, in three Palestinian pharmaceutical companies in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate. The researcher used the questionnaire as a tool for data collection, and several statistical methods were used, the most important of which are Arithmetic averages, standard deviations, Pearson correlation coefficient, and simple linear regression coefficient. A simple random sample consisting of (320) male and female workers was selected from the study population, and the researcher distributed (320) questionnaires for this purpose, where (291) were filled in, and after auditing (3) questionnaires were excluded due to lack of completion, thus the number of completed questionnaires reached 288.
The most important results of the study were: there is a significant effect of occupational safety requirements on organizational commitment, and that the increase in the percentage of application of occupational safety requirements leads to a higher organizational commitment among workers in Palestinian pharmaceutical factories, and the results showed a significant effect of occupational safety requirements on job satisfaction. The increase in the percentage of application of occupational safety requirements leads to a higher job satisfaction among workers in Palestinian pharmaceutical factories, and the most important recommendations that the study reached to an important point which is the necessity of preparing an organizational structure that is flexible and effective in application and within the laws regulating work within pharmaceutical companies, and the establishing of a specialized department in occupational safety and health within pharmaceutical companies interested in training supervisors and company employees in safety to be aware of the risks of the profession and how to deal with them.
