ملخص: | The study aimed to determine the mediating role of motivation between organizational citizenship behaviors and institutional performance in the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture. The researcher employed a descriptive correlational methodology, with the study population comprising all employees at the headquarters of the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture, totaling 229 male and female employees in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate. The sample size of 144 respondents, selected through proportional stratified random sampling method, and the study instrument was a questionnaire. Among the most significant findings of the researcher were that motivation plays a mediating role in the relationship between organizational citizenship and institutional performance. The level of practice of organizational citizenship behaviors was found to be high, while the level of institutional performance at the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture was moderate. Additionally, the level of implementation of motivational tools was also found to be moderate. The results showed that motivation and organizational citizenship affected all aspects of institutional performance. The researcher presented several recommendations, including involving all ministry employees in decision-making by holding regular meetings to discuss employee proposals, implementing feasible ideas, and honoring their authors, which would enhance employees' sense of belonging and active contribution to the development of work within the ministry. Transparent criteria for distributing rewards based on actual employee performance should be established and announced to all employees in the ministry, as this contributes to motivating employees to exert more effort. |
