ملخص: | The study aimed to identify the impact of implementing Governance Principles on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in the Palestinian Ministry of Health (MoH), in addition to identify the degree of implementation of Governance and OCB. A descriptive analytical approach was used via two research tools: a questionnaire and an interview. The questionnaire consisted of (50) statements and was distributed to a simple random sample of (374) employees from the total population of (9,279) employees of MOH. Qualitative interviews were conducted with (9) employees from MoH’s senior management. The questionnaire’s quantitative data was analyzed using SPSS,26©, and the interview results were analyzed qualitatively. The results of the interviews were used to interpret the study's findings and to provide recommendations. Results: There was a statistically significant impact of implementing Governance Principles (transparency, accountability, justice, participation and rule of law) on OCB, which explains (35.4%) of its changes. And every one-unit increase in the level of governance leads to a )0.651 (unit increase in OCB. Accountability and rule of law were the most influential principles. The degree of Governance in the Palestinian MoH was average, with an arithmetic mean of (3.28), while the degree of OCB was high, with an arithmetic mean of (3.48). There were statistically significant differences in Governance attributed to the job title, in favor of director and above, and to the educational qualification, in favor of bachelors. The results also showed no statistically significant differences attributable to gender, years of experience, specialization, or administrative unit on Governance. While for OCB, statistically significant differences were attributed to educational qualification, in favor of master's degree or higher, and to specialization, to medicine and nursing, in favor of nursing. The most notable recommendations: Conducting training programs on implementing Governance principles for employees, enhancing employee participation in decision-making and promoting justice, utilizing digitalization in implementing Governance programs, and promoting activities and programs to enhance OCB. |
