Abstract: The study aimed to identify the marital skills of those about to get married and a proposed vision from the perspective of cognitive behavioral therapy to raise their level, and to know whether the point of view of those about to get married differed regarding the level of marital skills, according to the variables of gender, age, educational level, place of residence, work, and monthly income of the family, as well as, and the current study relied on the descriptive analytical approach to achieve the previous objectives, and the study community consisted of (1000) Of those about to get married in the city of Tamra, the study sample was selected using the available random method and amounted to (250) was selected, and applied to them through a questionnaire to collect data and information, the validity and stability of which was confirmed using appropriate methods. The current study concluded that the total score of the study sample's estimates on the questionnaire paragraphs with an arithmetic mean of (3.70) With a high rating, the arithmetic means of the study sample members, answers to the marital skills scale ranged between (3.77-3.63), and the “listening skills” came in first place with an arithmetic mean of (3.77) with a high rating, followed by the emotional expression skills with an arithmetic mean of (3.73) with a high rating, followed by the dialogue skills area with an arithmetic mean of (3.71) with a high rating, followed by the understanding skills with an arithmetic mean of (3.67) with an average rating, while the “problem solving” skills came in last place, with an arithmetic mean of (3.63) with an average rating.. The study also showed that there were no statistically significant differences; Attributable to the variables of educational qualification and place of residence. It also showed statistically significant differences; attributed to the variables of gender, age, work and monthly income of the family. The study recommended the necessity of presenting an organized model for solving problems, because it sets a practical framework for managing disputes and solving problems in a systematic way, which contributes to building a solid foundation for communication and understanding between spouses. Enhancing listening skills and avoiding hurtful words to ensure a healthy and sustainable marital relationship and adopting the proposed vision and program proposed by the current study.
