Social and Psychological Problems Facing Adolescents from the Perspective of Their Parents: A Proposed Model from the Individual Service Perspective to Address Them.

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of social and psychological problems fac-ing adolescents from the point of view of their parents.A proposed vision from the per-spective of serving the individual to confront them at the Visual Arts Forum in Ramal-lah and Al-Bireh Governorate, and to investigate the differences according to some de-mographic variables.The study adopted the descriptive analytical approach, and the study sample consisted of (112) parents of teenagers enrolled in the center were selected in the available manner, and the results showed the following: Social problems came in first place with an arithmetic average of (3.34) and a percentage of (66.8%), while psy-chological problems came in second place with an average of (3.19) and a percentage of (63.8%).This indicates that social problems are the most common and influential com-pared to psychological problems.The results also showed There are no statistically signif-icant differences in the social and psychological problems facing adolescents from the point of view of their parents, attributed to the gender variable Age, monthly income, and educational level.The study recommended raising awareness about the impact of social media on adolescents, organizing awareness campaigns for families on how to safely use social media and directing children towards using it positively, and launching psychological and social support programs aimed at enhancing adolescents’ ability to deal with Psychological and social pressures.
