ملخص: This study aims to achieve two main objectives, the first of which is to identify the reality of the application of the Organization and Administration Division of the National Security Forces headquarters, for five of the human resources management practices, which have been carefully selected, namely recruitment, evaluation of human resources performance, training and development, career path planning, and job satisfaction, while the second objective is to compare this reality with contemporary practices of human resources management, and in order to reach the two objectives of the study, the study employs the descriptive analytical approach, and the study uses a questionnaire that was specially designed as a the main tool To collect the primary data, where it was distributed to the study sample, which numbered (125) individuals from the total study population of (250) respondents from the employees of the Organization and Administration Division, the Training Division, the Planning Division, and the Studies Unit, and (100) questionnaires were recovered valid for statistical analysis, where the researcher analyzed the collected data and conducted the necessary statistical tests on them and tested the hypotheses of the study using the “Statistical Package for the Social Sciences” (SPSS). The study concluded several results, the most important of which is that the overall degree of the application of the national security forces to contemporary practices of human resources management -recruitment, performance evaluation, training and development, career path planning, and job satisfaction - came with a total score of (2.68) and an average estimate. The results of the test of the hypotheses of the study showed a strong positive relationship between the practices of the national security forces in the field of human resources management and contemporary practices of human resources management, and the result of the multiple regression test showed the significance of the study model, where the results showed that the overall dimensions of the model explain 86% of the variation in the application of the national security forces to contemporary practices of human resources management. The study also made serval recommendations, most notably raising the pace of support of the leaders of the Palestinian security forces and those specialized in them for the methodology of transforming the Departments of Officers and Personnel Affairs Management in the Palestinian Security Forces into a contemporary human resources management methodology, and identifying organizational, administrative, financial, human and technical requirements and obstacles to the transition to work according to a contemporary human resources management methodology, and developing a phased strategic plan to transfer the tasks and powers of recruitment, evaluating the performance, training, development and planning of career paths and achieving job satisfaction for Members of the National Security Forces to the Human Resources Management Departments.
