Abstract: | This study aimed to identify the impact of the organizational climate on the organizational commitment of workers in the insurance companies in Ramallah and Al-Bireh cities, according to the variables of: gender, years of experience, qualifications, professional degree and the insurance sector. The study relied on the descriptive method. The sample study included (512) employees of whom a simple random sampling of (220) was selected. The questionnaire was used as a tool of the study. It was distributed to the study sample, while (208) were retrieved. The results showed that the level of the organizational climate came with a high degree, as well as all dimensions of the organizational climate (Organizational structure, technology used, communication, authorities and decision- making) come with a high degree. While the incentive system come with a medium degree. In addition, the results showed, the level of the organizational commitment come with a high degree, as well as all dimensions of organizational commitment (Emotional commitment, sustained commitment and normative commitment) come with a high degree, and the results showed that there is a positive correlation between the organizational climate and the organizational commitment, and it also showed a statistically significant effect at level of significance (α ≤0.05) the organizational climate on the organizational commitment, and also showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the averages of the respondent’s answers about the dimensions of the organizational climate in the insurance companies in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governate, due to the variables of gender, years of experience, qualifications, job grade and the insurance sector. Also, there were statistical and significant differences only in the two dimensions (Organizational structure and authorities and decision- making) in favor of the educational qualification variable (Bachelor’s),while the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the averages of the respondents’ answers about the organizational climate of workers, attributable to the variables of gender, years of experience, job grade and the insurance sector, and there were statistically significant differences between The averages of the respondents’ answers about the organizational commitment of its workers only on the dimension (Emotional commitment) in favor of the educational qualification variable (Bachelor’s). Based on the findings of the study, the researcher recommends the need to work on providing an appropriate organizational climate for employees in all its dimensions as a necessity to achieve compliance at the required level, and urges insurance companies to provide incentives for employees based on fair objective grounds, as well as recommended to work at matching the wages of employees in the company with their aspirations, to ensure the success and progress of the company. |
