Abstract: This study aims to investigate the relationship between Job Oppression and Achievement Motivation among faculty members of Palestinian universities at the northern governorates, according to the following variables: job title, gender, academic rank, experience, faculty and university. For this purpose, the researcher used a Descriptive Correlational Method, in which a survey is made as a study tool which consists of job oppression scale and achievement scale. The study community is all full-time faculty members of the Palestinian Universities and is applied on a random sample including (242) faculty members at the Palestinian Universities in the Northern Districts, namely: Birzeit University, Bethlehem University, Arab American University, Palestine Technical University (Kadoorie), and Palestine Polytechnic University. The results show that the level of Job Oppression in general is low, while the level of anger and repine field is medium, whereas Achievement Motivation Level is high. On one hand, the results show that there are statistical differences in the academic ranking with regard to repine in favor of the faculty member rank. On the other hand, there are statistical differences in favor of the Males in the Achievement Motivation with regard to gender, these differences also exist in perseverance and perceived competence with regard of academic ranking. The results indicate that there is a negative inverse correlation between Job Oppression and Achievement Motivation. This means that the higher Job Oppression is, the lower is the level of Achievement Motivation, and that there is a statistically significant effect of Job Oppression fields in the prediction of Achievement Motivation by (32.2%). The most important results show that, the researcher recommends that it is necessary to pay more attention to the subject of Job Oppression in the Palestinian universities, to hold courses and workshops in human development and self-enhancement fields, in order to maintain and even maximize the high level of Achievement Motivation.
