Title: The Relationship Between Transformational Leadership and Strategic Performance in the Palestinian Municipalities Classified - A - in the Northern Governorates

Abstract: The study aimed to find out the relationship between transformational leadership and strategic performance in the Palestinian municipalities classified - A - in the Nothern Governorates, from the point of view of employees. The study adopted descriptive correlative, and a comprehensive survey was chosen that included (140) employees due to the small size of the community, (112) questionnaires retreived. The results of the study showed that the level of transformational leadership among the employees in the Palestinian municipality classified - A - in the Nothern Governorates the was high, with average of (3.81). The “ideal influence” ranked the first, with average of (4.27) and a high level, while the “inspirational stimulation” ranked the last, with an average of (4.08) and a high level. Moreover, the level of application of strategic performance among employees in the Palestinian municipalities classified - A - in the Northern Governorates was high, with average of (3.94). The results also indicated a statistically significant positive correlation at the significant level (α≤.05) between the ideal influence and strategic performance in the Palestinian municipalities classified - A - in the آNorthern Governorates, equals (.59). Also, there was a positive correlation between inspirational motivation and strategic performance, equals (.61). The results also indicated that there was a positive correlation between intellectual arousal and strategic performance, equals (.63), and a positive correlation between individual consideration and strategic performance, equals (.69), a statistically significant correlation found between empowerment and strategic performance, equals (.70), more over, there was a statistically significant correlation between transformational leadership and strategic performance, equals (.72). Based on the results, the researcher recommends strengthening reliance on the transformational leadership style in the management of municipalities in order to increase the effectiveness of strategic performance in the municipalities.
