Abstract: The study aims to identify the effectiveness of a cognitive-behavioral counseling program in reducing future anxiety among a sample of psoriasis patients in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate. The study uses The quasi-experimental method by applying the study scales on a 20 patients sample (males and females) who recorded high degrees in the future anxiety scale used in the study، divided into two groups: the first is experimental group (10), and a control group (10). The study uses the future anxiety scale to collect data, while an indicative program was designed based on the cognitive-behavioral theory, applied to the experimental group, in 12 sessions, as two sessions weekly with each session for 90 minutes. The study results showed statistically significant differences between the experimental and control group in the post-measurement on the future anxiety scale in favor of the experimental group, which indicates the effectiveness of the applied counseling program used in decreasing the future anxiety. Based on the results, the study recommends applying for the developed counseling program in similar communities of chronic disease patients.
