ملخص: | The study aimed to identify Psychological Security and its relationship with Quality of Life and Pessimism Tendency among a sample of adolescents in the Shuafat Camp after the Israeli Aggression in 2019, in relation to the independent variables (gender, age, grade), and the researcher used the descriptive Correlational design on a sample of (336) of Shuafat camp adolescents, chosen by stratified random sampling. The results of the study showed that the level of psychological security was low as the average percentage value of the respondents' responses was (46.4%). The results also showed that the level of quality of life was moderate as the average percentage value of the respondents' responses was (66.8%). In addition, the level of pessimism was high as the average percentage value of the respondents' responses was (73.8%). The results showed statistically significant differences in psychological security according to two variables: gender in favor of females, and age in favor of the group (12 - less than 15). The results also showed that there are statistically significant differences in the quality of life depending on the variables: gender in favor of females, age in favor of the group (12 - less than 15), and grade where the differences came in favor of the seventh grade. The results also showed that there are statistically significant differences on the scale of the pessimistic tendency according to the variables: gender in favor of males, age in favor of the group (15 - less than 19), and grade, the differences came in favor of the tenth and twelfth grade. The results also showed the existence of a statistically significant positive correlation between psychological security and quality of life, and statistically significant negative correlation between psychological security and pessimism tendency among the study sample. The results also showed the existence of a negative statistically significant correlation between the quality of life and the pessimism tendency. The results also showed that the level of predictive ability of quality of life and the pessimism tendency in psychological security was high, as quality of life and pessimism tendency were able to predict (65.6%) of psychological security. |
