Abstract: This study aims to know the relationship between marital skills and marital satisfaction and to identify the level of marital skills and marital satisfaction of newly married women in Ramallah and Al-Beireh governorate and to find out the differences according to the variables of work, age and educational level.This study depends on descriptive correlations method. The study’s community consists of (10065) newly married women in Rammalah and Al-Beireh governorate. A sample was chosen depends on the random class sample method and according to the registration at the Sharea’a court which is (370). The study results showed that the whole degree of the marital skills for the sample of the study was high with an arithmetic average (4.03) in a percentage of (80.6%). While the whole degree of the marital satisfactions were medium with an arithmetic average (3.30) in a percentage of (66.00%). The study results came to the fact that there is no differences that are statistically indicated on marital skills standards due to work changes. While there were differences that are statistically indicated due to age changes and in favor of the high age level and for the education level, it is also in favor of the high education level. The results also showed that there are no differences on marital satisfactions standards due to the work changes , while there are differences due to the age changes, and in favor of the high age level and for the education level, it was in favor of high education level as well. The results concluded to the fact that there is correlation relationship statistically indicated between marital skills and marital satisfactions reached about (0.561). the relationship was extreme, positive relationship, The regression analysis indicated that marital skills predict marital satisfaction as marital skills (33.2%) were explained by differences in the level of marital satisfaction, The study recommended experimental studies, including Counseling programs for the teaching of marital skills among girls under the age of 21. The study also recommended the adoption of Sharia courts by specialists in family and marriage counseling.
