Abstract:
Governorate the researcher used the semi experimental approach. The study sample contain (30) wives who have the highest of social media addiction scale, were distributed in an intentional way through the hight scale, into two groups, the first one is on experimental group, and the second is a control group. The researcher applied the counseling program on the experimental group, while the control group did not receive any kind of counseling. because the counseling program was developed and based on the cognitive behavioral theory and applied on the experimental group. The counseling program included (12) sessions, with two sessions per week and the duration of each session was lasted for (60) minutes.
The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences between the total score of social media addiction scale for a sample of wives in Qalqilya Governorate according to the post measurement in favor of the experimental group As The value of effect size of program(.846). The differences were also significant in the experimental group with respect to the pre and post measurement in favor of post measurement. This indicates the effectiveness of the applied counseling program in reducing addiction of social network sites, in addition the results showed, follow-up measurement, the continuity of the effectiveness of counseling program.
In the context of results of this study and Discussed Emanated from them Several recommendations, of most important: Employing the program based on the techniques of brief counseling focused on the solution in the current study on another community and evaluating it is effectiveness from each group of the community, and implement psychological vibrations.
