Abstract:
The study aims to identify the Predictive Ability of Positive Thinking and Emotional Balance in the Quality of Life Among Students of Al-Quds Open University in the light of independent variables (gender, school year, college), using the descriptive correlative approach, on an available sample consists of 380 male and female students, during the 2021/2022 academic year.
The results of the study show that the arithmetic mean of the positive thinking, emotional balance and the quality of life scale for each come with a high rating, and the results also show that there are no statistically significant differences in the averages and areas of positive thinking, emotional balance and the quality of life scale among Al-Quds Open University students due to a variable: (gender, school year, college).
The results of the study show the existence of a statistically significant correlation at the level of significance (p<.05) between the triple interaction of positive thinking, emotional balance and quality of life among Al-Quds Open University students, and the relationship is positive. The results of the study also show that there is a statistically significant effect at the level of significance (.01≥α) for both emotional balance and positive thinking in predicting the quality of life, meaning that the two variables: emotional balance and positive thinking, have an important and basic role in predicting the quality of life.
The study come out with its recommendations by referring to the role of the family, the school and the university, each in his position, emphasizing the concept of positive education for children and students, developing their self-concept and refining the responsible and balanced personality, which is dominated by the spirit of the group, work and flexibility to deal with life and its situations, and if there must be a purposeful recommendation, it is for couples. Because of its importance in providing us with the studies and data necessary to reduce marital problems, prevent family conflicts and preserve the family and community fabric.
