الخلاصة:
This study aimed to investigate The Effectiveness of a counseling program based on Multimodal Treatment (Lazarus model) in improving self-assertion and reducing Future Anxiety Among a sample of Tenth Grade Students. The study used the semi- experimental approach through a sample of 24 students (females) who recorded low degrees on the Self- Assertion Scale and high degrees on Future Anxiety Scale. The sample was divided into two groups: experimental group and controlling group. The Self- Assertion Scale and The Social Anxiety Scale were used to collect the data, while a counseling program based on the Effectiveness of a counseling program based on Multimodal Treatment (Lazarus model) in improving self-assertion and reducing Future Anxiety Among a sample of Tenth Grade Students, and was applied on the experimental group, in 12 sessions, by two session per week of 45 minutes each.
The results of the study showed statistically significant differences between the experimental and the controlling groups in the post measurement of the Self- Assertion Scale and the Social Anxiety Scale, in favor of the experimental group. And the differences between the pre and post measurement in the experimental group were also statistically significant, in favor of the post measurement. Additionally, there were no differences between the post and the long term measurements in the experimental group, which indicates the effectiveness of the applied counseling program in improving self- assertion and decreasing the social anxiety after a six week tracking period. The results also showed that the impact of the counseling program reached (.853) .in self assertion and (.910) in future anxiety.
Based on the results, the study recommends to applied the developed counseling program to other communities, and for similar or different indicative purposes.
