Title: Strategic Thinking and Its Impact on Institutional Performance of Companies Operating in the Suburbs of Jerusalem

Abstract: The study aimed to identify the level of the components of strategic thinking and the level of the components of institutional performance in companies operating in the suburbs of Jerusalem identify the extent to which the leaders in these companies perceive strategic thinking, and find out if there is a statistically significant correlation relationship α >= 0.05 between strategic thinking and its impact on performance, Institutional work, and work to provide suggestions and recommendations that would benefit companies in the State of Palestine in general, and companies in the Jerusalem suburbs area in particular, and to achieve these goals, the researcher used the descriptive-analytical method, and he used the questionnaire as a data collection tool, And technicians, totaling (221) employees, and a random sample was taken from the study population, which numbered (152), and (152) questionnaires were retrieved at a rate of 100%, The study reached several results, the most important of which were: • The results of simple linear regression analysis showed that there is an effect of strategic thinking on the institutional performance of companies operating in the outskirts of Jerusalem, and the value of the coefficient of the strategic thinking variable was 0.787, meaning that there is a direct effect of this variable on institutional performance. • The results showed that 60.1% of the study sample members agree that the companies they work for adopting strategic thinking in their work, and about the dimensions of strategic thinking, the results showed that 61.0% of the study sample agreed with a high degree of the existence and practice of strategic intent and that 60.6% of them They agree with a high degree on the existence and practice of the strategic vision, 53.3% of them agree with a medium degree on the existence and practice of shareholder participation, and 63.9% of them agree with a high degree on the presence and practice of temporary thinking with companies operating in the suburbs of Jerusalem. • The results showed that 60.1% of the study sample members agree that the companies they work for adopting strategic thinking in their work, and about the dimensions of strategic thinking, the results showed that 61.0% of the study sample agreed with a high degree of the existence and practice of strategic intent and that 60.6% of them They agree with a high degree on the existence and practice of the strategic vision, 53.3% of them agree with a medium degree on the existence and practice of shareholder participation, and 63.9% of them agree with a high degree on the presence and practice of temporary thinking with companies operating in the suburbs of Jerusalem. • The results of the multiple linear regression showed a statistically significant effect of the independent variables (strategic intention, thinking temporally) on the institutional performance of companies operating in the outskirts of Jerusalem, and the value of the regression coefficients was 2.82 and 3.64 for each, respectively, while the results of the multiple linear regression showed that there is no statistically significant effect of the independent variables (strategic vision, shareholder participation) on the institutional performance of companies operating in the suburbs of Jerusalem. The study reached several recommendations, the most important of which were: • The necessity for companies operating in the outskirts of Jerusalem to spread the culture of strategic thinking among their employees by granting them the powers that enable them to practice strategic thinking. • Working on creating plans and discussion panels that help find solutions to the obstacles to strategic thinking facing companies operating in the outskirts of Jerusalem, and also help raise the level of institutional performance. • Establishing and developing training programs in a way that includes all employees, whether at the administrative or professional levels, and the necessity of motivating them to participate in these training programs, as it has a significant impact on positively reflecting on the skills and capabilities of employees. • The need to develop the skill of strategic thinking from the foundations and conditions in the process of selecting employees who will work in administrative positions in order to achieve high efficiency from the outputs of administrative processes.
