Abstract:
The study aimed to identify the impact of organizational conflict management strategies on achieving quality of work life in the Ministry of Education.The researcher employs the descriptive method to assess the study population that comprises all administrative officials in the Palestinian Ministry of Education in the West Bank; i.e., (556) male and female staff members from the different rankings in the head office (Headquarters) of the Ministry in Ramallah. Through simple random sampling, (227) questionnaires were distributed to the Ministry's employees. (220) responses were collected with a response rate of (96.9%). Finding of the study showed: the average availability of the dimensions of organizational conflict management strategies was (3.27), and the relative weight of the dimensions in entirety was (65.33%). While the average availability of the dimensions of the quality of working life was (3.19), with the relative weight of the dimensions in entirety was (63.75%).
The results also indicated a statistically significant correlation at the (0.05≥α) level between the strategies of organizational conflict management and the achievement of quality working life in the Palestinian Ministry of Education, with a (0.655) correlation coefficient. The study also indicated a statistically significant effect at the (0.05≥α) level for the dimensions of the strategies of organizational conflict management (collaboration, compromise, concession) on the quality of working life in the Ministry, with a (0.509) coefficient of determination, The study concluded that there were no statistically significant differences at the (α≤.05) level between the respondents response averages on the dimensions of the management strategies of organizational conflict among the Ministries management strategies among the staff of the Ministry based on demographic variables: (sex, position, academic qualification), except for the variable related to the number of service years, that was in favor of Less than 5 years. Moreover, there were no statistically significant differences at the (α≤.05) level between the respondents’ response averages on the dimensions of the quality of working life among the Ministry’s staff based on the demographic variables: (sex, position, academic qualification, number of service years), except for the variable of service years in favor of less than 5 years
