Abstract:
The study aimed to identify the level of psychological security and the level of self-concept among a sample of divorced women in Hebron governorate, as well as knowing the relationship between psychological security and self-concept. The study sample amounted to (270) divorced women. The descriptive relational approach and the questionnaire were used as a tool for data collection. The results of the study showed that the level of psychological security among a sample of divorced women in Hebron governorate was moderately high, and the level of self-concept was at a medium degree, and the results concluded that there is a negative inverse correlation with statistical significance between the degree of psychological security and the degree of self-concept among a sample of divorced women in Hebron Governorate.
The results of the study indicated that there were no differences between the averages of psychological security for a sample of divorced women in Hebron governorate due to the variable (work, presence of children), And there are differences between the averages of psychological security due to the variable (educational level) in favor of the master’s degree about the total degree of psychological security, And there are differences between the averages of psychological security due to the variable (age) in favor of less than 20 years about the total degree of psychological security. The results of the study also indicated that there are differences between the averages of the self-concept of a sample of divorced women in Hebron governorate, due to the (work) variable in favor of working, and the presence of differences between the averages of the self-concept due to the variable (the presence of children) in favor of there, and the presence of differences between the averages of the self-concept due to variable (educational level) in favor of a bachelor's degree about the total degree of self-concept, and the presence of differences between the averages of self-concept due to the variable (age) in favor of less than 20 years about the total degree of psychological security.
