Abstract:
The study aims to identify psychological immunity as an intermediate variable between psychological stress and emotional balance among female working in the Palestinian security forces in the northern governorates, and to investigate the level of each variable, and the duu to: age group, marital status, educational qualification, experience, and job rank. The study uses the path analysis method, through the application of the study scales on a stratified random sample, includes 320 female workers in the year 2019/2020.
The results show that the level of psychological immunity and the field of "adaptive confrontation" is high, while the level of containment and self-organization fields is moderate. The results indicate that there are no statistically significant differences in the psychological immunity and its fields due to: age group, educational qualification, experience, while the differences due to social status was in favor of single women compared to other cases, and in favor of the higher job rank.
The results show that the level of psychological stress and all its fields are average, and the economic pressures come first, while the job pressure is last. The results indicate that the differences in psychological stress and its fields are in favor of the widow, divorced and then married compared to the single, and in favor of the lower academic degree, lower job rank, and higher experience.
The level of emotional balance and all its domains is moderate, with emotional flexibility first, while emotional confrontation come last. The results indicate that there are only significant differences in the emotional balance and in the field of emotional control and emotional flexibility in favor of "unmarried" and "higher job rank", and in the emotional balance and emotional confrontation in favor of the higher degree.
The results show that there is a statistical significant relationship between the three variables of the study, and thus the condition of the model test is achieved, where value of the indirect effect of psychological pressures on the emotional equilibrium is -.159. This indicates that the median variable contributed to reducing the relationship between psychological pressures on the emotional equilibrium.
