Abstract:
This stay aims at identifying psychological burn out and its relationship to job satisfaction and whether there are statistically significant variations/discrepancies in the relationship of psychological burnout with job satisfaction according to the following variables: (gender, years of experience, and specialization). The sample consisted of 100 specialists (84 males, 16 females) randomly selected from those working in the governorate Ramallah and Al-Bireh with people of disabilities
For the purpose and nature of the paper and the pertaining information, the researcher adopted the descriptive, correlative approach by narrowing the two tools of the study to include only the psychological burnout job satisfaction measures, following customized design and development, showing their psychometric characteristics (honesty, reliability). All the data and information acquired were processed using the Statistical Packages for the Social Sciences (SPSS).
The results showed that the degree of psychological burnout and job satisfaction among Specialists working with institutions for people with disabilities in Ramallah & Al-Bireh Governorate was medium, and that no variations were observed in psychological burnout and job satisfaction among the surveyed specialists in terms of the three variables (gender, years of experience, specialization). Finally, the results reveal a negative inverse correlative relationship statistically non-significant at the significance level (0.05 ≥α) between psychological burnout and job satisfaction among specialists.
In light of the findings of this paper, further in-depth studies and papers are recommended in this field due to the great importance to investigate the reasons that lie behind the feeling of psychological burnout of the workers, and to design preventive and guidance programs that will facilitate the workers’ tasks and responsibilities in these areas and mitigate the impacts work stress that eventually leads to psychological burnout.
