dc.description.abstract	This unit deals with some basic rules and techniques used for translating technical language. Prefixes and suffixes and linking devices are two important features of English technical style . Furthermore, the unit discusses technical terminology of various types in addition to dealing with some difficulties that face the translator of this type of language which has special characteristics that you should be well-aware of. The unit ends with discussing the importance of shared knowledge between speaker /writer and listener/reader which is necessary for accurate translation of topic sentences	en_US
