dc.description.abstract | Generalization and qualification can occur at the sentence and discourse levels. They can take place on their own. Moreover, generalization and qualification can also be used in writing in conjunction with other language functions such as definition, comparison and contrast, cause and effect, argument, etc. This unit has dealt with generalization and qualification in terms of their respective nature in the relationship between them.
