Title: The Impact of Work Stress on Organizational Silence in Palestinian Higher Education Institutions: The Mediating Role of Quality of Work Life
Authors: Salah, Bara’a Suleiman Ismail; Ghanem, Prof. Fathallah
Abstract: This study aimed to examine the relationship between work stress and organizational silence in the presence of quality of work life as a mediating variable in Palestinian higher education institutions. The researcher adopted the descriptive-analytical approach. The study population consisted of all faculty members in universities located in the southern West Bank (Bethlehem and Hebron), totaling 832 members distributed across eight universities. The sample size was determined to be 263 individuals according to Stephen Thompson’s formula; however, the actual number of responses reached 287, yielding a response rate of 109%. The questionnaire was distributed using the simple random sampling method, and data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26 and Smart PLS version 3.
The results of the path analysis revealed a statistically significant partial indirect effect of work stress on organizational silence through quality of work life as a mediating variable at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05). The p-value for the total indirect effect was (0.004) with a T-value of (2.895). Among the dimensions of work stress, "role conflict" had the strongest effect, with a p-value of (0.000) and a T-value of (3.704), indicating that role conflict significantly contributes to the deterioration of quality of work life, which in turn leads to increased organizational silence.
In light of these findings, the researcher recommends that university administrations in the southern West Bank work to reduce "role conflict" by minimizing task overlap and clarifying job roles, in order to enhance the quality of work life and reduce organizational silence among faculty members.

Title: The Effectiveness Of Using Artificial Intelligence Applications In Management In Industrial Companies In The Southern Governorates Of The Western Region "A Field Study"
Abstract: This study aimed to examine the impact of using artificial intelligence (AI) applications on enhancing strategic management performance in industrial companies in the southern governorates of the West Bank. The researcher adopted the descriptive-analytical method and relied primarily on a questionnaire distributed to the study population of 135 administrative employees, of which 126 valid responses were retrieved (a recovery rate of 92.3%), in addition to conducting interviews with some administrative staff. Data were analyzed using the SPSS program. The findings revealed that the level of AI applications utilization was high, with a relative weight of 75.49%, where predictive analytics ranked first, followed by data analysis platforms, automation tools, decision support systems, and finally machine learning algorithms. The results also indicated that the level of improvement in strategic management performance was high (75.44%), with decision-making enhancement ranking first, followed by operational efficiency and productivity, customer satisfaction and engagement, market competitiveness, innovation, and lastly financial performance. The study further identified major challenges hindering AI integration in these companies, including weak technological infrastructure, shortage of qualified personnel and training, high investment costs, and limited strategic awareness among management, which explains the limited strategic impact of some applications despite their widespread use. Hypothesis testing showed a significant effect of machine learning algorithms and decision support systems on strategic management performance, while predictive analytics and other tools showed no significant impact. Moreover, significant differences were found in favor of employees with 6–10 years of experience, bachelor’s degree holders, and those who had attended training programs, while no substantial differences were recorded based on gender or specialization, except in some dimensions. Based on these findings, the study recommended building human capacities through specialized training programs in AI applications and shifting their use from an operational to a strategic level, developing digital infrastructure and adopting integrated data analysis systems, and applying automation selectively in cost- or time-intensive areas. It further recommended enhancing integration between different tools, supporting decision-making through advanced AI tools capable of simulating business scenarios and forecasting risks, addressing financial challenges through partnerships with universities and business incubators, improving resource allocation using smart analytics, strengthening customer satisfaction by leveraging AI to understand customer behavior and design responsive innovation strategies, and adopting internal policies that foster a culture of innovation and reduce employee resistance by involving them in digital transformation initiatives and clarifying long-term benefits.

Title: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Reducing the Spread of Cybercrimes: Distinguishing the Performance of Members of the Security Services as a Mediator Variable
Authors: Tarda, Marwan; Mohammad, Dr. Raslan
Abstract: This study aimed to exploration the role of artificial intelligence in reducing the spread of cybercrimes: The performance of members of the security services was characterized by an intermediate variable. To achieve the objectives of the study, a descriptive analytical approach was adopted. The study population represented workers in the cybercrime unit in the Palestinian security services, which numbered (327) employees. Approximately, the size of the study sample was (178) and a random sample was selected Data were also analyzed using statistical software (SPSS).
The study reached a number of results, the most prominent of which were: The level of application of artificial intelligence among employees of the Cybercrime Unit of the Palestinian security services was high. The results revealed a high level of reduction in the spread of cybercrime among employees of the Cybercrime Unit of the Palestinian security services. The results also revealed a high level of performance excellence among employees of the Cybercrime Unit of the Palestinian security services. The results also indicated a mediator role for the excellence of performance between artificial intelligence (AI) in its various dimensions (machine learning, deep learning) in the Palestinian security services and the spread of cybercrime. The results also indicated a highly positive relationship between the excellence of performance of Palestinian security personnel and the prevalence of cybercrime in society, as perceived by employees of the Crime Control Unit. The results indicated a highly positive relationship between AI and the prevalence of cybercrime in society, and a moderately positive relationship between AI and the excellence of performance of Palestinian security personnel.
The study recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which were: investing in modern AI technologies to enhance their capabilities to monitor and respond to crimes more effectively; improving coordination between various security units to enhance the effectiveness of efforts to combat cybercrime.

Title: The Impact of Leadership Styles on Crisis Management Strategies of the Palestinian Political Leadership: An Analytical Study from the Perspective of Military and Civilian Retirees in the Hebron Governorate
Authors: Tomayzeh, Ibraheem; O'rayqat, Ismael
Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the impact of specific political leadership styles (Pragmatic, Charismatic, Broker/Organizer) practiced by the Palestinian political leadership on the application of certain crisis management strategies (Course Change, Mobilization Reserve, Crisis Unloading, Crisis Fragmentation, Crisis Containment). This was examined in the context of the leadership facing a series of recent and diverse crises (health, economic, social, security) in the West Bank, evaluated from the perspective of retired military and civilian personnel.
To achieve this objective, a descriptive correlational methodology was employed. Data was collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire distributed to a convenience sample of 338 retired military and civilian personnel in the Hebron Governorate.
The main findings indicated that the degree of application of the three leadership styles, as well as the five crisis management strategies, by the Palestinian political leadership was generally rated as "moderate" by the sample. The "Pragmatic" style was the highest-rated among the leadership styles, while the "Course Change" strategy was the highest-rated among the strategies. Conversely, the "Broker/Organizer" style and the "Crisis Unloading" and "Crisis Containment" strategies received relatively lower ratings (though still within the moderate range).
Regression analysis revealed a strong, direct, and statistically significant impact of the practiced leadership styles collectively on the level of application of crisis management strategies (explaining 93.1% of the variance), underscoring the pivotal role of leadership in guiding crisis responses. Furthermore, the results showed statistically significant differences in respondents' assessments based on their demographic variables (gender, nature of work, years of experience, and educational qualification).
Based on these findings, the study presented several key recommendations. These include the necessity of enhancing the effectiveness of political leadership practices and the application of crisis management strategies through development programs, cultivating balanced leadership skills, addressing perception gaps among different demographic groups, establishing mechanisms for institutional learning from crises, and leveraging the expertise of retirees in ongoing evaluation and development processes.
