Dear student,

     This unit deals with another type of special language, namely, that of mass media , politics and diplomacy. Therefore, the unit discusses the major characteristics of the language of conferences, interviews, communiqu�s, advertisements, promotion, diplomacy and how to translate such types of texts. The language of journalism will be given some emphasis to study its special linguistic and stylistic characteristics.
