In this unit you have to study what data and interpretation of data mean. As you have seen, interpretation of data involves various function of language such as comparison, contrast, making generalization, exemplification of view points and supporting arguments among others. Various expressions to help you interpret data suitably have also been given. Interpretation could be made from text, a diagram or from both of them when they come together.
